RC1 of CommunitySEO 2.0 is now available to those wishing to test it out. If you have already sent a request through the ticket system to receive the beta, we have updated the original zip file you were given a link to. If you would like to test RC1 on your site, please send in a ticket through the ticket system.
RC1 is not time-restricted. Please be aware that beta 1 is time-restricted and will expire on 7-31-2009, so if you are using beta 1 we recommend you upgrade to RC1 soon. You can use the built in IPB 3 upgrade system to upgrade CommunitySEO.
If you are upgrading, please be aware that there are 2 additional file edits required. I tried to work around them, but in the end was unable to. Specifically, there is one additional change to ipsRegistry.php, and a new change to adminOutput.php. The instructions are included in the Instructions.txt file.
Several bugs have been fixed in this version. The most noticeable bug fixes include an installation error that required reimporting the traditional rule pack, an issue with the settings when saving the stats padding settings, and sitemaps not building.
While we advise you that this is still a pre-final release, we do feel that it is relatively safe to run on your life IPB3 installation. Be aware, however, that support may be slow, so if your site is mission-critical and you are unable to diagnose and fix any bugs that may come up yourself, you may wish to wait for the final release.
Thank you to all the testers, and to everyone patient enough to wait for the bug fixes and updates. I think we're on the home stretch to a final release now. ![]()
