Invision Byte is back as you have already seen since you are reading this news: the 2.0 version is here!
Finally after 3 days offline I have managed to upgrade and setup everything again. I hope you'll like the new skin I have chosen for the site and I have also coded the main site to match it
I'm not really good with long speeches so here is a summary list of the main changes and improvements so far:
- Refreshed 3.0.5 version of IP.Board: I have merged several bug fixes from 3.1 in 3.0.5 to make it even more stable than the default package!
- Forum has been moved to the subdomain "community.invisionbyte.net" so be sure to update your bookmarks! (there is a 301 redirect in place for old links anyway)
- New site look integrated with the main website powered by IP.Content
- Updated version of all the old addons installed (downloads, client area, tutorials, etc)
- A new forum for Pre-Sales questions to keep everything more organized rather than having everything mixed in with support questions in the modification topic
- Topics are now completely visible by guests too since I've removed the old "login or register" message under the first post, however, guests will see an ads in every page until they login and make at least 1 post.
There are also a number of changes on how paid modifications are handled:
- Each modification now has a page in the main site which also contains additional details about the number of edits, encoded boards support (for those using the board supplied with IPS hosting) and purchasing one of these won't require you to send me a PM with the transaction details. Much easier for both yourself and me to keep track of purchases!
- As mentioned above there is a new forum for all pre-sales questions instead of a topic for each mod
- support for paid modifications is given only in the private forum for customers or in the ticket system
- There is a new tracker category to report bugs in the paid modifications which is accessible only by members in the customers group
- There is also a new tutorials category in which I will post tutorials on how to quickly change things commonly requested in the mods (for example the message for the Hide Content mod)
- Once IP.Commerce goes final I plan to switch to IP.Board 3.1 and convert to it instead of the manual checks that I perform presently

I hope everyone likes the new changes, if you spot any bugs in the main site or the forum itself please report them in the
new bug tracker category I made appropriately for it!
