Resignation

Hi everyone,

With much sadness, I'm afraid to say that I announcing my resignation from Invisionize with immediate effect.

I have been on Invisionize for over seven and a half years, and a member of staff for almost four of those. I've had many ups and downs whilst being at IZE, even apparently boycotting the site in 2005, which lead to my highest rate of answering support topics. Since being a member of staff, I've moved from being Community Team to Management. Around a year ago, I personally started work upgrading the outdated website to use IPB 3.0, and had some help with Elad. We moved the site to my servers hosted in London, and was never able to finish rewriting the website. I agree with many of you that this has greatly harmed Invisionize, and I deeply regret not being able to spend more time on it.

There are a number of reasons why I'm stepping down, the first, and major reason is that I no longer have any time to use Invision Power Board, or it's related software. As a result, I've lost interest in the forum development scene, and haven't been keeping up to date. Personally, I'm on a full-time placement, before going back to finish my university degree next year, and then back to my placement position to work full-time. I don't have much spare time, and have other projects (such as AppliedIRC) that takes up my time.

The second reason is that I no longer hold a stake in Invisionize, and haven't for a number of months. A few months ago, I gave up my share of Invisionize to a new party. I assisted them in moving the website from my two low-powered VPSs to their 12 nodes in a leading cloud provider. You've seen the performance increase. The new owners said that they were working on revamping the website. I'm not supposed to have told you that, but it's been almost 4 months since my last communication with them, and I no longer have any patience.

I am demoting myself with immediate effect. I won't be able to do any moderation on this topic, or do anything the members can't do. I will continue to monitor this thread over the upcoming days to reply to any comments.
