Time offset in ACP - Logs - Admin logs

I noticed that the time recorded when certain tasks are performed are logged with time offset. Yesterday I rebuilt the thumbnails for forum posts. I then went to the Logs > Admin logs in ACP and noticed that it said I performed the thumbnail cleaning at:

But I did the actual rebuild yesterday at 13:25 local board time, which I know as I specifically ran it and then posted in a topic about this.

Note: The time recorded seems to be correct for most other tasks, such as making a change to a forum category.

Cant remove vote in mobile skin

If i try to remove my vote in Mobile skin enabled, i get "you dont have permission to vote in this poll" (or something like that) error . If i change to normal skin, it works fine.

- Emotions bar is bugged if you hold a lot of them. It cuts off the bottom two if its edit post and cuts them half off if its in full editor.

- If you recache the skin your using your ACP password resets it seems. It says invalid password.

I need a quote for an IP.Content design

I'm looking around for someone to design a homepage for me using IP.Content as the backend. Here is the basics of what I need, everything else will be discussed privately to anyone that offers.

- A design that cleanly integrates into all themes, but not look exactly like the installed forum themes. To be honest I'd prefer a unique design of my choosing separate to the forum but I am also concerned about consistency.

- The ability to arrange news into specific categories, this must also include the option to display all news by default with arrange by categories being optional.

- The ability to promote news to the frontpage, I'd rather have the latest news automatically grabbed from a specific forum section or sections of my choosing. I'd prefer for this to be based on categories for different news, allowing specific news to be arranged into categories as mentioned above.

- The ability to manually submit articles to the front page, and automatically create a discussion thread in a forum section or sections of my choosing . This is a category specific setting, different forum sections can be chosen for different categories.

- Show forum replies to news articles as comments on the IP.Content page and vice versa if possible. Comments to news on the main page will automatically show as replies to the accompanying forum thread for the news article.

- Tab links to an about page, forum, downloads, blogs, wiki, and gallery. The about page must be dynamic and allowed content to be submitted via the frontend for those with admin privileges.

- A dynamic compatibility/issue database for game compatibility with emulators, and another tab link on the main page that links to the database. This database must allow submissions from the frontend for anyone with proper permissions.

- A mini spy for currently active threads, latest threads, latest replies/comments, latest downloads, and latest blog entries updated via Ajax. These would be arranged as blocks on the side.

- Facebook like for articles, and a Digg this button for articles.

- Articles must show the avatar and name of the submitter, same for comments by members.

- Links to the official Twitter, Myspace, Facebook pages for the site.

- Ability to register and login via the main page.

- A Digg block to keep track of the popularity of digged articles, same for Facebook. Keep it to a minimum of the last five submissions to keep the page clean and keep scrolling to a minimum, same thing with the active topics, latest topics, latest replies/comments, and latest blog entries.

More can be discussed for whoever decides to do this. I am just looking to get a quote for now, but I do request that whoever offers will at least accept monthly payments for the work until it is paid off due to my current financial situation. This is something I really need done so I hope that someone will be able to work something out with me.

Search for phrase in quote errors if a word is under 3 characters

I tried doing a search for "What's on your mind", with the quotes and I got an error message saying that one or more words was under three characters long. If the search query is within quotes, then shouldn't it count it all as one long word?

Might have found cause of Sidebar Bug

So I might have discovered one way to cause the issue on the sidebar where not everyone is displayed. I joined today, and someone joined right after me, which made their name not show up.

Could this cause names to not show in the sidebar of it?

RTE grabbing focus on main image view page

When viewing an image with RTE defined in user settings the editor grabs focus and therefore the image scrolls out of view.

Occurs with all images in main image view i.e. http://community.inv...e/5296-tbilisi/

Firefox 3.6.8 in case it is browser specific.

When using the iPad the RTE editor can't be used as any browser I've tried so far on the iPad does not allow you to tap into the editor window to enter text.

Had a ticket in T2 where the customer couldn't save properly the content in a field because it was always being truncated.

the issue is that the columns "field_XX" in the custom databases are being created as 'text', once I changed the column as 'mediumtext' the content saved properly. Not sure if we want to change the default type for the field or not?

Hello,

The setting present in the Blog ACP "Show Bookmark Links?" seems to have no effect.

If "General Configuration / Enable Share Links" is set to "yes", Share links will be visible on blog entries, even if "Show Bookmark Links?" is set to "no".

When I view the source of an article with a link in it, even an internal one pointing to a gallery image or category, it is represented as an external link, with nofollow attached to it if the forum setting is set to do so.
The title of the link is set to 'External Link'.

Can I propose that if an already-approved file is re-edited (by anyone who has permission) and therefore needs re-approving by somebody, that the original notice "Approved by X on Today, 08:43 AM" (at the bottom when viewing a file) is removed? Or else it's confusing as it looks like someone's already approved it, which was true originally but isn't any more?

If you have multiple single file uploads, and some are required, it does not tell you which ones are required. You have to guess until you get it. All other fields give you the custom name.

Report Center - Updated By information is incorrect

Can reply to topics OWN? yes

Use an existing permission set -> forum_lock_Mask

In Edit Permission Set ... forum_lock_Mask

For the administrator I select all. (Admin Forum Mask) ALL

For the small group I will select (forum_lock_Mask):
Show Forum Read Topics, Reply Topics, Topics Start

In Permission Set Management Forum (forum_lock_Mask)
there just inside the group group_lock.

The problem is that it works well when the user will use the primary group group_lock group.

But if it is used in secondary group is not working anymore. It will allow to answer on a post from another user while he is not right.

I took that code from "boardIndexTemplate".

Now comes the tricky part, when you open the page you can see that this code above works because that li element now have class of "no_sidebar". If you open the sidebar, that li element still have that "no_sidebar" class. If you refresh the page while the sidebar is still open, on that next page load that same li element will not have class "no_sidebar".

I was saw this on IP.Board default skin, when you open the sidebar #categories element gets class of "no_sidebar" and when you close the sidebar, that class is removed.

Now i know i can write small piece of javascript(i only know jQuery), but i really want to use default IP.Board code.

However, that same code - in the case that your "base_url" setting includes a www. - prevents the Google/Bing cached pages from showing up, as it redirects you to www.<their cache url>

This check should really be done in PHP if it needs to redirect, to prevent things like this happening. Would also be good from an SEO perspective to ensure that users are redirected to the "real" board URL if they go to the wrong version.

Profile search issue

After deleting a spam topic it still showed as the most recent topic on the forum on the home page.

Clicking on the topic link produced the following error:
[#10343] We could not determine which topic you were attempting to view.

Surely it should be replaced by the previous most recent topic?

A lot of weird things happened with my hook and I think it was after I edited it and saved it while IN_DEV. Suddenly everything stoped working and I had to uninstall and reinstall the hook. Also sometimes the hook files are removed and sometimes they aren't. A lot of these developer tools are touchy where using them at certain times cuases problems. Apparently in_dev is one time that editing hooks causes problems.

Steps to reproduce:

Enter the word "test" in the quick search bar and select the members application, you'll get a list of member accounts while profile comments is selected in the dropdown (example on this forum: Your search for the term test returned 681 results)
Now go on page 2 and the search returns a proper list of profile comments and also the text changes: "Your search for the term test returned 162 results"
Go on any page and always profile comments are loaded

Basically the search from the quick bar is defaulting to members but right after a change of page it switches to profile comments instead.

In IP.Mobile the link for "New content" is always shown, even if the user is not logged in. In IP.Board theme this links is hidden for guests as it always returns zero for non-logged in users, and as such it should be displayed in the drop down menu in IP.Mobile only if the user is logged in.

Editor crashes Safari on iPad

I updated 2 boards yesterday from 3.0.5 to 3.1.2. One of which is a stock install.

Both board are doing the same thing. From safari on my iPad (3.2) if I click on the Fast Reply editor it crashes safari to the springboard. If i try to use the full editor, it doesn't crash, but the editor doesn't load, it just shows an unselectable white box.

The same actions that fail on the iPad on my boards works on the IPS boards. Not sure if you have applied any unreleased patches to remedy this problem.

Note: I cleared History, cache, cookies, and restarted my iPad twice with no change to the problems above.

I have also tested the above on my iPhone (3.1.3) and it works as it should.

Customer is using MySQL Fulltext searching.
Go into a forum and search for "apple store". The key I believe is to search for two words. Leave "This Forum" selected and submit, and you are presented with a page of search results.

Behind the scenes, this is what the where clause print_r looks like

If you go to the search page in IE7, javascript errors are thrown. Specifically, one of the errors is "ipb is undefined", although others are present on our site here as well.

Unlike the rest of IPB, which uses a maximal permissive mode (that is: if a member is part of two groups, and one group can see forum X and another group cannot, the member can see forum X), for the databases, IP.Content uses a minimal permissive mode (that is: if a member is part of two groups, and one group can access database X and another group cannot, the member cannot access database X).

I have had to open my databases to be editable by everyone in order to get volunteers to add content, instead of being able to specify a volunteer group that had the ability to do it.

sorry if title is not too descriptive, but I have noticed after upgrading to 3.1.2 (from 3.0.5) that I periodically get 50-60 copies of the following query running at the same time:

DELETE FROM core_item_markers WHERE item_member_id > 0 AND item_is_deleted=1

I understand that this is a periodic process that is supposed to be run from time to time to clean up old data. Looking at the code this is being done in __myDestruct of classItemMarket and is run every 300 seconds.

The problem is that there is a race condition in that on heavy board, while update is being done, multiple other clients detect that update is required and you end up in 50 processes doing exactly the same job. I guess some sort of lock should be introduced, indicating that someone is already updating the cache, so that other processed do not try to.

quick check revealed that there is no index on posts.post_parent and full table scan was used

I have added index and problem went away. Unless I have mixed something up in my postgresql upgrade, this index seems to be missing in default mysql setup too.

RTL - Invalid background image url

I Noticed in the ipb_rtl.css file that there is a background image attribute looking like this:

CSS issue in child styles

When I make a child skin and I choose it on my forum, then it seams that some CSS files are missing.

I've tried to reproduce this issue on clean install and it's there. I can PM to test-board instance with that problem. Also I've already talked to Skinbox supoort, and they claim that it's not style issue.

I am trying to modify my IP Gallery template to show some more information than it does by default. For example, if I want to show the photo uploader's group ID, I can use this code:

However, I can;t seem to use this for showing custom profile fields. For example:
{$info['authorData']['field_3']}
does not show the member's website. I think I must have to add an array modifier like
{$info['authorData']['custom_fields']['field_3']}
to get that to work but I don't know what should really be used for ['custom_fields'].

I would have thought that a valid question for support, but, alas, it is not. Since they pointed me here I thought I would ask if anyone here knows the answer.
